The Small-Town Girl Becomes The Demon King (EP 22): We should kill the King, right?

T/N: I realized then it should be “Your Majesty” so I went back and changed it. Also, we’re back for the moment! Shorter, single chapter updates this time to reduce the burnout.

Merle and the others rode in a horse-drawn carriage headed for the royal capital. Earlier when the town was saved, the Mayor said, “The King leaves the people to suffer.”

Merle wondered if this was a good start. The young people suffer because of the royal government. Since there is a king, he must have his territory.

There, Merle had a “Eureka!” moment.

If she kills the king, she can spread her rule all at once. If she crushes the head, the rest will automatically go under Merle’s control. And so with that thought, Merle immediately left the castle and rode a horse-drawn carriage to the royal capital.

Normally, she would be flying through the sky via Succubus carrying her but there was quite the distance to the royal capital. There was also slime to think about now; unsurprisingly, a long-distance flight with more than two people was impossible.

So, the three of them rode to the royal capital while getting jostled by the rocking carriage.

“Your Majesty, look!” Slime said. “There’s a big rainbow in the sky

“I prepared a lunch for you and myself, Your Majesty,” Succubus said. “Please enjoy it.”

Although she was about to commit regicide, the inside of the carriage was quite peaceful.

Slime was reporting all the things she was seeing in the scenery for the first time. Succubus was trying to appear like a responsible wife and brought blankets and cushions for Merle, so she could comfortably spend her time in the carriage or enjoying her lunch.

“I thought I was going to assassinate a King, but why did this become a field trip?” Merel muttered.

The air didn’t feel like she was about to go conquering. However, Merle wasn’t opposed to it so she enjoyed the comfortable trip being tended to by Succubus while watching the scenery passing her by.

“What’s a ‘field trip’?” Slime asked.

“I think it’s going to a place where you don’t usually go for fun or study?” Merle asked. “I never liked going out so I was absent during field trips, so I wouldn’t know.”

“Field trip!” Slime cries. “I want to go somewhere for fun and studying!”

“I will go anywhere with Your Majesty!” Succubus said. “Be it into fire or the sea! But if possible, I want to go to bed with Your Majesty!”

“Yes, it’s a field trip, so let’s have lots of fun and study hard,” Merle said as she ignored Succubus and patted Slime’s head.

“Your Majesty!” Succubus said. “I’m ready! I truly am!”

“You’re getting more and more enthusiastic recently, aren’t you?”

“I love Your Majesty more and more with each passing day!”

“But we’re both women,” Merle said. “That’s why I don’t feel the same way.”

“You’re still full of energy, so it’s fine!”

“What do you mean, ‘it’s fine’?!” Merle said as she flicked her finger at Succubus’ chest.

She gasped as her breasts shake. She’s so pleased with the Demon King’s touch that her face is red with joy.

Ever since she learned that rubbing her breasts would put her into heat, Merle had experimented with her. What she found that if you just yanked her breasts or flicked them, she wouldn’t go into heat. Only touching would pleasure Succubus enough to go into heat.

However, every time the masochistic Succubus wanted to be struck more, Merle stopped, worried she’d be pounced on yet again.

“Your Majesty! We can see the town!” Slime said as she jumped and pointed in the distance. “Come look!”

She did and found the buildings hidden behind the trees. Further in the distance was a castle.

It’s the royal capital,” Levantine said. “It probably won’t be easy to conquer. What kind of defenses do they have?”

“We’ll be fine,” Merle said. “It’s all clear! I just need to rely on Levi!”

“’All clear’,” Levantine said. “What a reckless Demon King.”

T/N: Merle’s going to change her stance about “But we’re both women.” eventually.
